Isolation Pals
2020

When lockdown hit I frantically took most of the contents of my studio to my one bed flat. A previous work, Shadow Pals, found a home in the corner of my bedroom. I would wake up and see them and instantly feel guilt for my initial lack of productivity. The stood there kind of goading me and taunting me. I installed them in the garden, they judged the weeds. But eventually, when my creativity came back, they became objects of comfort, familiar faces.
